After months of watching these songs regularly update on the Smash Blog, I was wondering what would get the honor of the game’s release week. Big name series’ like Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon had already gotten a couple songs each and the main theme was right there on the marquee. Sure enough, in Smash Bros. fashion, it’s something I never would’ve guessed yet makes perfect sense.
 
Coming from the How to Play video from Super Smash Bros. Melee, this song always carried a sense of action to it even if it was playing over a gameplay demonstration tutorial. Now it finally gets to stretch its legs and be that, with a new arrangement from Motoi Sakuraba. A long time composer for the Tales of series, many Mario Golf & Tennis titles, and plenty others; he’s perfect for the job of polishing off these pre-release music reveals.
