It’s been a couple months since the last Smash Direct back in August, and with another one due in just a matter of hours, as of this writing, that means a whole new month of potential Smash Blog posts to look forward to. Closing things out for this stretch of time is a pesky little croc from Donkey Kong Country: the Klaptrap.

It may be a new Assist Trophy, but Klaptraps have been a frequent presence in Smash since Melee. These guys loved to take bites out of players on the Melee era DK stages, but now as an item they’ll be chomping on everyone in sight anywhere you call on ‘em, even if that everyone includes King K. Rool himself.
