Before it was unfortunately shutdown, I loved using Swapnote with friends and coworkers. While it may be gone, its mascot and hostess has managed to stay afloat here and there thanks to a cute design and demeanor. And if you’re a Nintendo character with a bit of charm, you know Sakurai’s thought of you, hence here we are with Nikki coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as an Assist Trophy.
Nikki, the host of Nintendo Letter Box on #3DS joins Super #SmashBros Ultimate as an Assist Trophy. Her drawings all look very cute – but they still do serious damage, so be careful! pic.twitter.com/jQBYHEClZU

She looks to be a continuation of the Picto Chat stage feature of drawings that appear and can be interacted with or attack your enemies. It’s fitting since Swapnote was more or less a successor of Picto Chat itself, but seeing Nikki doodle away in the corner makes this Trophy another great addition.
