When it comes to rhythm games, Taiko no Tatsujin is in a class of its own. The sight of it’s massive drums in arcades is all too tempting when I manage to find them, and as simple as the gameplay is it’s definitely addicting. It’ll be coming to Switch in Japan later this month with the paired Joy-Con serving as your drumsticks, and an English language Asian version will follow in August. After that though, it might be seeing a fully localized release.

An Australian Classification Board listing has been found for Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum N’ Fun for the Switch. Presumably this would be the localized name in the region, which suggests the Taiko Drum Master moniker has been retired. As for unknowns, we don’t know the song selection and the release date itself is a mystery. If it comes to fruition, however, it’s easy to see a European and American release around the same time. Treat it all like a rumor for now, albeit one with some highly likely proof.
