Two atmospheric and appreciated indie titles from developer Playdead are making their way to the Nintendo Switch eShop today, and even if they look dreary you should definitely be excited. Both games tie their storytelling to your exploration rather than scenes or dialogue, making them must-haves for fans of minimalism and mystique.

First up is Limbo, the monochrome march of a young boy through foreboding environments in search of his sister. There’s no telling what might be lying in wait for you, and across the game more ideas and elements help you understand the dim world around you. Having played it on other platforms, I can tell you that it’s a darkly beautiful game more than worth the price of admission.

The dev’s more recent game, Inside, plays and feels similarly, but tells a whole new tale across its puzzling environments. Making your way into a strange facility, you’ll slowly come to understand more as you progress, with plenty of satisfying turns along the way.

Limbo can be picked up for $9.99, while Inside goes for $19.99. Do yourself a favor and wander into their visually impressive worlds soon.
