Nintendo has confirmed that the rumored HD remake of Twilight Princess will be coming to Wii U early next year. Australian developer Tantalus Media is handling the port, and the footage shown so far looks fantastic. Nintendo promises gorgeous visuals, new features, and support for all five Zelda amiibo from the Super Smash Bros. line, as well as the newly announced Wolf Link amiibo.
It was noted during the Nintendo Direct that 2016 is the 30th anniversary of the Legend of Zelda series. Nintendo confirmed, once again, that the brand new Legend of Zelda game is still on track for a 2016 release on Wii U. It was also teased that some data can be carried via the Wolf Link amiibo from Twilight Princess HD to the new Zelda title on Wii U.
The Twilight Princess bundle can be pre-ordered today on Amazon, and will release on March 4th, 2016.
