I don’t think even my words can do this one justice, but I’m going to try. Kirby Star Allies is already my most anticipated game right now and seeing what’s either its start up movie or just a special little animation put together for the occasion is hitting all the right notes.
A highly stylized take on characters I know and love paired to peppy music? Check. Adorable imagery that still shows off key gameplay mechanics? Double check! Kirby being tossed into the air by his friends and Helpers in a heart silhouette? I’m getting the best kinds of flashbacks to Sonic Mania’s own intro animation.
Here’s hoping this trend continues, but in the meantime you can rewatch this one again and again with me until March 16th comes along.
