Who’s ready for an exercise in how many words you can wring out of a vague tweet?
The official Sega Twitter released a tweet showing an image of a shining lightbulb on a green background with the words “16th JANUARY” next to it — with no other information provided.

Right now, the meaning behind this is anyone’s guess. The only electricity or light themed Sega game I can think of is Pulseman for the Genesis, but I doubt the company would tease the return of an obscure game like that.
Interestingly, the advertising tagline for the Sega Dreamcast at launch was “It’s Thinking™.” Thinking… Lightbulbs… Could this be a confirmation of new Dreamcast games on mobile devices and consoles? A Dreamcast Mini, maybe? The Dreamcast 2?!
I hope you didn’t put away your tinfoil hats after the Nintendo Direct drama this week, because it might be time to hype yourself up for inevitable disappointment!
