Nintendo of Japan has introduced an all new cover plate set based on the amiibo costumes found in Super Mario Maker. The 30th anniversary Super Mario Bros. plates feature pixel art of some of Nintendo’s biggest icons, including Mario, Link, Fox, and a wide variety of Animal Crossing characters.
The cover plates will be available separately for 2,000 yen and in a limited edition system bundle for 17,000 yen. Both the cover plates and the console bundle will be available on November 28th. No word yet on a North American release, but we remain optimistic now that the standard New 3DS has made it stateside with the recently released Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer bundle.
