Waiting for Yooka-Laylee on the Nintendo Switch? This morning, Playtonic Games issued a “progress report” sharing with fans where the game’s status lies at the moment: It hasn’t been submitted to Nintendo yet, but it’s close! The team behind the port was waiting for Unity 5.6 to fix a few issues — and those initial problems were fixed, but even more cropped up afterwards. Game development and testing can be a finicky process.
In the meantime, Playtonic has released a GIF of Yooka and Laylee exploring the world via handheld mode on the Switch. Whatever bugs the team may be squashing aside, the game looks fabulous. Here’s hoping that development from here on out goes more smoothly!
