With the release of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time today, I completely forgot that Shift Up’s popular 2024 action title Stellar Blade was even releasing on Nintendo Switch 2. Hitting shelves tomorrow, November 6th, 2026, it only makes sense for the company to upload a launch trailer to commemorate the occasion. I didn’t expect it to be a tongue-in-cheek live action trailer, however.
With the tagline of “Tale Eve Everywhere,” the roughly 90 second trailer shows us Eve palling around with people in their everyday lives as they play Stellar Blade on the go. As silly as this is, I got a chuckle out of the bit where she tucks a guy in and then hands him a stuffed toy before going to hunt some alien bug thing. I also like the woman having a picnic and then throwing a can of Elixir Carrot to Eve.
Critical response to the Switch 2 port has been positive, which is good news after the demo. I was worried the forced frame-generation to make it 60 fps would ruin the experience, but it seems that the togglable 30 fps cap improves fluidity enough to make the game feel decent. Shift Up seems to have delivered another solid action game for the Nintendo faithful. The Switch 2 library really is starting to overflow with riches.
