IO Interactive has announced a new free DLC pack is now rolling out for 007 First Light, which adds numerous features to the game.

Titled Extended Operations, the DLC adds a New Game+ mode, which players can unlock by clearing the game on any difficulty. The mode allows users to replay the entire campaign (from the beginning or any checkpoint) with all their unlocked outfits and gadgets available.

New Game+ also unlocks a new 00 difficulty mode, which is “considerably harder” than the game’s existing options. The developer says that “enemies react faster to bodies and disturbances, certain guard archetypes are swapped for tougher variants, gadget use is restricted within a guard’s line of sight, and combat itself becomes far less forgiving, with two-hit kills, tighter parry and side-step timing, and reduced agency gained in a fight.”

Valhalla Protocol brings four new TacSim missions, allowing players to drive the Aston Martin Valhalla over the Slovakian Mountains. TacSim missions now also include additional weapons, “with the full arsenal of the main campaign now in players’ hands.”

In Photo Mode, players can freeze the game at any time and take full creative control of the shot they want to assemble, with various poses and an array of configuration options available.

Finally, Extended Operations introduces a couple of gameplay tweaks, including improved weapon-handling animations. Enemies can now also throw Bond off a ledge, with IO warning players “to stay on their guard.”

007 First Light is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is planned for March 2027, after being delayed a second time from its previous Summer 2026 release window. You can pre-order your copy on Amazon today.

The James Bond title has impressed critics and fans since launch, shifting an impressive 4 million units within its first three months on sale.
