Splatoon Raiders released this summer as the first spinoff in Nintendo’s popular online shooter series, and while it has been a big hit, it seems the dev team is really and truly finished with the game. In an interview with Famitsu this month, various members of the team were asked questions about the development process for Raiders, including why it was a spinoff, how Salmon Run was adapted into a campaign, and some of the inspiration behind the art. At one point, producer Seita Inoue states that no additional DLC or updates are planned.
“Unlike the main series, which evolves its gameplay through balance adjustments and content additions,” Inoue explains, “Raiders is developed with the goal of providing a complete and satisfying experience with the content delivered as is. Therefore, we are not planning any DLC or updates that affect game balance.” He does state that if a critical bug is found, the team will patch that as necessary, however.

The wording of this statement does leave the door open for plans to change, but I don’t see the point of adding much to Splatoon Raiders. The game has a pretty hefty amount of content as-is, and with the team likely moving over to developing Splatoon 4, it would be a bit silly to force extra content in when the game isn’t balanced around that. Splatoon 2 and 3 received DLC that attempted to tweak the campaign rather than multiplayer, and Raiders is seemingly a culmination of those efforts.
