In typical modern video game fashion, Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave has a day-one update that brings a few extra goodies to players jumping into the game this week. As part of the version 1.01 patch, players can now obtain additional “special weapons” from past Fire Emblem games as they are playing. The patch notes state you can find them in “places like Dagsion” as you make progress in the campaign mode.

Another fun tidbit, Nintendo states, “we have fixed several issues to improve the gameplay experience.” I really love Nintendo’s patch notes, which are so vague that they could mean literally anything.

The update should be live on the eShop now, though Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave doesn’t officially launch until September 17th, 2026. If you happen to have an early copy, I suppose it would do you good to download the update first.
