As spotted by Nintendo Everything, it seems that the award-winning co-op game from developer Hazelight, It Takes Two, is reportedly getting a Nintendo Switch 2 upgrade soon. According to information from Prowell Asia Holdings, a game distributor based in China, EA will seemingly be porting the game to Nintendo’s latest platform later this year. As an informational slide from the company notes, the game is supposedly set for an October 15th, 2026, release and will occupy 12.1 GB of storage on the platform. It comes with support for multiple languages and is shipped on a Game-Key Card (of course).
This wouldn’t be the first time It Takes Two graced a Nintendo platform. The original version came to Switch in November 2022, more than a year after the game hit PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. By all accounts, that port was fine enough, but a version for Switch 2 would be able to clear up any existing technical issues. More recently, Hazelight’s 2025 co-op title Split Fiction hit Switch 2 on launch and ran great. That likely points to its predecessor running solidly on Nintendo’s newest device.
We’ll likely get official confirmation of this news in short order. Considering EA has backed with Switch 2 with games that completely skipped the original console, I wouldn’t doubt it would want more titles for Nintendo faithful.
