As is typical with Nintendo, the company has randomly (and excitingly) dropped an announcement for a new Direct presentation in the wee hours of the morning. Set to take place tomorrow, August 4th, 2026, at 7 a.m. PT | 9 a.m. CT | 10 a.m. ET is an approximately 20 minute long direct for Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave. Revealed roughly a year ago, Fortune’s Weave will be the first Fire Emblem game on the Nintendo Switch 2 and will continue the story of Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
The Heroic Games are approaching! Tune in on Aug 4 at 7am PT for the Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave Direct, featuring roughly 20 minutes of new information about the game. #NintendoDirect

Apart from its release date of September 17th, 2026, and a confirmed $80 price tag, we don’t know much else about Fortune’s Weave. That’s clearly why this Direct is being held, though I can’t imagine it will differ too much from past Fire Emblem games. The series has been fairly consistent when it comes to iterating on mechanics, even if the previous installment, Fire Emblem Engage, was something of a massive crossover game for the entire series.
