It’s nearly time for Splatoon 3’s annual “Summer Nights” Splatfest to commence. Held every year around August, the event typically asks players questions related to summer getaways or vacations. For 2026, the question this time is simple: Which would you reserve for a day? Your options? A Palace, a Theme Park, or a Beach.

Running between August 21st-23rd, 2026, participation is easy. Simply log into Splatoon 3 the week of the event, select your team from one of the three, then don your T-shirt during the event. Over the weekend, you’ll just need to play matches online to contribute points to your chosen team. The results will then be tallied and presented on the Monday after.
Last year, Summer Nights posited whether players would rather travel by land, air, or sea. I suppose you can kind of link that to this year, but anyway, Sea came out victorious. People seem to love cruises or swimming, which might even be repeated this year. Personally, I think I’d want to rent out a Theme Park for an entire day, especially if it meant I could get on every ride I wanted without waiting.
