Alongside a lengthy trailer this morning, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have announced that Part 1 of Pokémon Pokopia’s DLC expansion, titled Bubbly Basin, will be available on Wednesday, August 5th, 2026. Pre-orders are currently live on the Nintendo eShop and players can receive a code for 30 rare Pokémetal ingots if purchased before Tuesday, August 31st, 2027. As an official press release states, “In Part 1, players can look forward to making a splash in the new underwater town, Bubbly Basin.”

Some new features include growing watermelons, bubble machines that will require Pokémon with the Generate ability to power them on, and new furniture items. New Pokémon will be included as well as a power-up for the “Surf” move. TPC is also happy to point out that smoothies can now be prepared as an additional food option. A “Dive” move will be added to allow players to explore underwater, as well as build submerged architecture, in a free update that launches alongside Part 1 of the DLC.

Part 2 of the Pokopia expansion pass is still TBA, but TPC expects it to release in late 2026. The only insight we have into what that expansion will add is that TPC writes, “players can look forward to dressing up alongside their favorite Pokémon by wearing accessories in Part 2 of the paid DLC.”

Lastly, a very brief mention of Part 3 of the DLC pass is noted in a separate press release. It’s way too early to get any kind of concrete information there, but the third part will release sometime in 2027. It will include a new town to explore and build in. That’s honestly pretty nice, though I’m not sure if it justifies the $35 price tag.
