A new line of pinball machine accessories for Stern Pinball’s Pokémon cabinet has been revealed, and a free update is now available for the game.

The following accessories are available to order now from the Stern website:

The following items are also listed and priced in the company’s press release, though do not yet appear to be available for purchase on the website at the time of writing:

  • Side Armor Expression Lighting System – $249.99
  • Cabinet Expression Lighting System – $299.99
  • Speaker Expression Lighting System – $199.99

All accessories are expected to begin shipping in “late June/early July 2026,” and are compatible with all models – including the Pro, Premium, and Limited Edition variants.

The Magikarp Pokémon Topper features a mechanically animated Magikarp and wave motion, with RGB lighting and M-A-G-I-K-A-R-P callout letters. Users will also receive access to an exclusive Magikarp Multiball – catching a Pokémon awards a letter, and collecting all the letters to spell “MAGIKARP” will light the Magikarp Multiball at the right ramp. Awarded letters will carry over multiple games.

The Expression Lighting System kits add intelligent, full-color spectrum RGB LEDs, which are synchronized to custom light shows and dynamically responsive to game events.

Code 0.83 has also been released for all models of the Pokémon machine. The update adds new Pokémon and introduces a ton of new content, tweaks, and bug fixes, all detailed in full in the “Read Me” file on Stern’s Game Code webpage.

Nintendo Wire went hands-on with the machine at Stern’s headquarters in February, prior to its public release. Jason said in his impressions video (below): “This machine is an absolute blast. If you’re a Pokémon fan or just somebody who loves pinball, I genuinely think there’s something for you here.”

Nintendo Wire will have a full review of the new accessories in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
