Nintendo has shared new gameplay footage of the upcoming Star Fox remake for Switch 2, which offers a look at the game’s Mouse Targeting feature.

The short clip shows gameplay of the game’s opening stage, Corneria, in first-person view. As the video demonstrates, players can use the Joy-Con 2’s mouse functionality for precise aiming.

It also shows some of the stunning details across the revamped Corneria City, with futuristic holograms, neon lights, and buildings ablaze amid the chaos.

Mouse Targeting can be toggled on and off while playing the game solo in the Campaign and Challenge Modes, so players can switch between using buttons and mouse aiming on the fly.

Star Fox Switch 2 release date

Star Fox will launch exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 on June 25th, 2026. You can pre-order your copy on Amazon or GameStop today.
