In this week’s Nintendo Music update, we celebrate 25 years of Animal Crossing with the release of the OST for the original game! Animal Crossing, the real life game that’s playing, even when you’re not, originally debuted on the Nintendo 64 in Japan on April 14th, 2001. It was later ported to the GameCube where it gained popularity after receiving a wide release. Animal Crossing has gone on to become one of Nintendo’s most popular franchises, with gamers anticipating a new release with each new console.

There are a total of 158 tracks with a runtime of five hours and 18 minutes.

Animal Crossing featured an ad campaign based off The Real World that, to this day, is still one of the best that Nintendo has made, and I wish they’d bring it back for the next release as a throwback! What would you want to see in a new title? A returning feature or a brand-new one?
