If you have a fondness for the 8-and-16-bit Jurassic Park games of yore, you might want to make a move on acquiring the Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection soon. Publisher Limited Run Games posted on Steam last night that its jam-packed compilation of old-school Jurassic Park titles will be delisted on March 31st, 2026. Coming roughly two and a half years after the collection was first released, this seems like a rather short-sighted move by Universal Studios.

On the Steam community forums, Limited Run wrote, “In the past, we learned how important it is to provide plenty of notice for changes like this, so we’re committed to being as open and transparent as possible. Our goal is to give fans every opportunity to grab the game before it’s too late. Thanks for understanding!” There is no current sale for the collection, so it remains at its $29.99 MSRP.

This isn’t just for the PC version of the collection, either. The Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection will be delisted from PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch as well. Obviously, owners will be able to continue playing it after the delist date and physical versions will still function.

For those unfamiliar with the collection, it included the following games:

  • Jurassic Park (NES)
  • Jurassic Park (Game Boy)
  • Jurassic Park (SNES)
  • Jurassic Park (Genesis)
  • Jurassic Park Part 2: The Chaos Continues (Game Boy)
  • Jurassic Park Part 2: The Chaos Continues (SNES)
  • Jurassic Park: Rampage Edition (Genesis)

As a child of the ’90s, I can tell you that most of the Jurassic Park games were not that good (in my opinion). The real stars of this compilation are the SNES and Genesis versions of Jurassic Park. While Sega’s console got a rather typical side-scrolling platformer, Nintendo’s console received a creative Zelda-like adventure game that had first-person segments. It was hampered by no battery saves or even a password system, but is otherwise heavily overlooked.
