In a rather big “oopsie” this morning, Walmart may have inadvertently leaked some new games coming to Switch Online in the future. Near the bottom of Walmart’s landing page for Nintendo products, an advertisement for Switch Online + Expansion Pack listed a plethora of games available to subscribers of the service. While 95% of them are games already available on the service, two new GameCube games were among the photo that have not been announced or hinted at yet.

To spare you anymore suspense, the games in question are Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and Pikmin 2. It makes sense that Nintendo would want its big hitters on its paid subscription service, but the company has not hinted at their inclusion in any previous marketing. It also contradicts the popular rumor that Metroid Prime 2 and 3 are getting full remasters, which I’ve never believed to be true. On the other hand, Pikmin 2 being added is a strange situation because Pikmin 1+2 is available as a Nintendo Switch game you can purchase.

Now, it’s not like Nintendo is against selling a different version of a game, then adding it later down the line to Switch Online. While you can no longer buy the Super Mario 3D All-Stars collection, it contained Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine as part of its selection of titles. Mario 64 has been on the N64 app for a few years now, and Mario Sunshine is slated to join the GameCube app in the future. There’s also Link’s Awakening, which has a full Switch remake and is available on the Game Boy app in its DX incarnation.

While I’m not sold on this Walmart leak being legitimate, I also don’t think it’s a complete fake. Nintendo is probably going to add Prime 2 and Pikmin 2 at some point in the future, just likely not anytime soon.
