In a surprise listing on the Australian eShop today, the episodic superhero comedy title Dispatch has gone up with a release date of January 29th, 2026, for both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. While developer AdHoc Studio has not made a formal announcement, it seems likely that the critically acclaimed game is actually heading to Nintendo’s ecosystem. Random people cannot create listings on Nintendo’s storefront, and even if some publisher wanted to go rogue, it would get taken down pretty quickly. More likely than not, the Australian listing went up earlier than anticipated.

What we can learn from this listing is that the Switch 2 upgrade will be free to buyers of the Switch version. You can outright buy the Switch 2 one, if you so choose, and there is even a digital deluxe edition available. That deluxe upgrade comes with an “Art and Comics Pack,” which is also available separately if you want to purchase it later. It’s not clear what upgrades the Switch 2 version has, but we can likely guess higher resolution output and possibly smoother performance.

For those unaware of Dispatch, it launched back in October for PC and PlayStation 5, and has been well received by critics and fans alike. Shifting over two million units in its first month, the game features an all-star cast of voice actors including the likes of Aaron Paul, Jeffrey Wright, Laura Bailey, and Matthew Mercer. It was developed by former staff members from Telltale Games, who mimicked the style they made famous throughout the 2010s.

Learn more about Dispatch’s story

From Nintendo’s site:

Dispatch is a superhero workplace comedy set in modern day Los Angeles from the writers and directors of Tales from the Borderlands and The Wolf Among Us, and features an all-star cast including Aaron Paul, Laura Bailey, and Jeffrey Wright.

You play as Robert Robertson, AKA Mecha Man, whose mech-suit is destroyed in a battle against his nemesis, forcing him to take a job at a superhero dispatch center: not as a hero, but a dispatcher.

As their dispatcher, you take charge of a team of ex-supervillains given a shot at redemption. Manage and level up your roster, all while navigating office relationships and romances, and rebuilding your suit for a shot at revenge!
