Strap in amiibo fans and get your wallets ready for some pain! During the Kirby Air Riders Direct 2 this morning, Series Director Masahiro Sakurai showed off not one, not two, but three brand-new Kirby Air Riders amiibo, bringing the total number of swappable amiibo to five. Joining Kirby and Bandana Waddle Dee are Chef Kawasaki and Hop Star, King Dedede and Tank Star, and Meta Knight and Shadow Star.

Like Kirby and Bandana Waddle Dee before, all three of these amiibo detach from their vehicles and can be placed in a vehicle of your choosing. But unlike any amiibo we have seen to date, the Tank Star figure can actually transform from land mode to flight mode.

Now for the bad news. All three of these amiibo will not launch alongside the game and will instead be released in 2026. Meta Knight will come first on March 5th, while Chef Kawasaki and King Dedede will release sometime in 2026 according to Nintendo.

We should also mention that the pricing is expected to be the same as the Kirby and Bandana Dee amiibo announced already at $50 each. So if you are doing the math at home, get ready to shell out a whopping $250 plus tax to snag all five figures. Even die hard amiibo collectors like myself are struggling a bit to justify that purchase.

Kirby Air Riders releases alongside the Kirby and Warp Star and Bandana Waddle Dee and Winged Star amiibo on November 20th. Pre-orders are open now.
