Late last year, developer Game Freak saw a major internal hack that leaked a plethora of information about upcoming Pokémon projects. Dubbed the “teraleak,” over the last year, fans have been digging through all of that information and have stumbled upon some new information. As the headline suggests, that info relates to some details about Legends 3, when Generation 11 will come out, and plans for a multi-region remake that may encompass multiple games in one.

Warning: The content below may contain spoilers.

Starting off with Legends 3, the only information found (thus far) is that the game will take place in the Galar region and is set some 1,000 years in the past. It will reportedly see players create the first Gigamax Poké Ball, similar to how Legends: Arceus was about creating the first Poké Dex. Interestingly, this leak also states that the original idea for Legends 2 — aka Legends: Z-A — was a split game called Pokémon Legends: Ho-oh and Lugia.

Next up was a timeline for Generation 11, which is reportedly scheduled for a 2030 release gate. If you think that sounds way too far away, remember that Generation 10 hasn’t even been revealed yet. Legends: Z-A is supposedly going to give some hint at the future, and this same leak even states that Gen 10 will be titled “Pokémon Winds and Waves.” Anyway, Generation 11 is too far into the future to really know much about, though it will probably end up on Nintendo Switch 2.

Lastly, Game Freak seems to be planning for a multi-region remake that will encompass different Pokémon games into one. According to this leak, the game is codenamed “Seed” and even has a short description. “Seed is a prototyping project for a next-generation online game playable by multiple people, set in a region that connects Hoenn and Sinnoh.” Those two regions are from Ruby/Sapphire and Diamond/Pearl, but it is also stated that Kitakami will be explorable. Kitakami is from Scarlet and Violet, the most recent Pokémon games, so that is certainly an interesting prospect.

Considering the history of the Pokémon brand, none of these games seem all that shocking. This is pretty much what Game Freak has been doing for the last 30 years now. It should be interesting to see how large in scale a Switch 2 Pokémon game will wind up being.
