As part of this morning’s Virtua Fighter direct stream, Sega announced that Virtua Fighter 5 REVO will be getting ports to consoles soon. Released for PC via Steam in January, players on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2 will be able to jump into the fray to experience one of the most revered fighting games ever.
To make this the definitive version of this legendary title, REVO will also be getting crossplay support for all platforms. This is actually the first Switch 2 game with crossplay that we know of, so if you have friends on other platforms excited for VF5, fear not. You’ll be able to battle them regardless of where you game.
For those unaware, VF5 REVO is an updated port of the PS4 exclusive Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown. Ported to Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios’ Dragon Engine, it features enhanced visuals and new customization options for each character. Most importantly, it has rollback netcode to ensure smooth gameplay no matter your connection quality (within reason).
Virtua Fighter 5 REVO is currently available for PC and will be heading to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2 in the near future.
