The 10th anniversary show of The Game Awards is less than a month away, and today we will find out the nominees for 2024! Today at 9 a.m. PT | 11 a.m. CT 12 p.m. ET, a livestream will reveal nominees for each category, including the coveted Game of the Year award.
Something worth taking note of this year is a change in eligibility for the biggest award, as it seems DLCs/expansions are now eligible to be nominated and win. Whether this is a good or bad move remains to be seen, as a DLC or expansion may not even be nominated.
Looking back to 2023’s Game Awards
Last year, Baldur’s Gate 3 was the clear frontrunner and took home the Game of the Year award. This year, it looks like Astro Bot could clinch the win — and deservedly so — as it’s a fantastic game!
