When looking at the Nintendo Switch games with the most successful lifespans, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the most obvious success story. This enhanced Wii U port exceeded all expectations and went on to become the best-selling game on the Switch, with support lasting even into late 2023 thanks to the Booster Course Pass. Considering this, it should come as no surprise to hear that a second round of Mario Kart Happy Meal toys are racing their way onto the McDonald’s scene!

Originally appearing a couple months ago in Australia, this toy set includes a total of ten racers: Mario, Luigi, Donkey Kong, Toad, Toadette, Bowser, Peach, Yoshi, Gold Mario, and Pink Gold Peach. These toys make it possible to swap the bases of the karts around, leading to a lot of customization potential for the wheels. As a nice bonus, there’s a printable coloring and activity sheet available for download on the Happy Meal website too!

One must admit, it’s nice to see this beloved game continue to be featured over seven years after the initial release. With how well Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has held up over the years, it still manages to feel fresh and fun even now. Whether you’re a collector, a Mario-loving parent, or even just a general fan of the kart-racing experience, keep an eye out for these neat toys at your local McDonald’s for the next couple weeks.
