To commemorate Sonic Adventure’s 25th anniversary (at least in the US), Limited Run Games is now selling a bunch of different merchandise based on not only Sonic’s first 3D outing but Sega’s final home console. Everyone loves the Dreamcast and Sonic Adventure was the premiere game for it, so why not take a trip down memory lane with a commemorative skate deck?

The skate deck is maybe a bit out there for Sonic, especially since a replica pair of Soap Shoes would be more in line with that specific design of Sonic, but $75 for a skateboard isn’t that bad of a price. Regardless, I’m fond of stuff like the hoodie and T-shirts that feature minimalist designs. They feel like a fusion of ’90s design aesthetics with modern sensibilities. The same goes for the snapback hat and kudos to whoever came up with that fishing hat featuring Big the Cat.

Where things get a bit more creative is with regards to non-wearable gear (although I guess you can’t wear a skateboard). LRG has a lineup of Dreamcast trading cards featuring several different classic Sega franchises, but if you’re only interested in Sonic Adventure, you can buy a booster pack in a replica jewel case. For a moment, I thought LRG was reprinting the Dreamcast disc, but having a near-identical jewel case is pretty dang awesome. There’s also a keychain fashioned after the CD case that even opens up!

The last thing is a commemorative coin, though I don’t care for those as much. It’s still a nice-looking design with the Dreamcast CD tray on the front and a black back with the Sonic Adventure logo. I can’t forget about the poster and pin either, though those are basically reprints of older merch. All in all, it’s not a bad set of memorabilia to celebrate Sonic Adventure.
