Tomorrow, September 24, 2024, seems to be the day of live-stream events for game publishers. Sega announced just hours after Sony revealed plans for a PlayStation State of Play that it will be holding its Sonic-focused event in the form of “Sonic Central 2024” tomorrow. While there isn’t a lot of details beyond the thing happening, a message on Twitter reads the following:

Obviously, we’re going to see something from the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie, but there could even be a mention of some new games, remasters, ports, etc. Sega is firmly dedicated to Sonic, so anything is possible here. I wouldn’t be surprised if some new retro compilation of the handheld Sonic Advance games is in the works considering we got the Sonic Origins collection a few years back.

The mention of stuff beyond video games is also key as it could be signaling more collaborations with Paramount Pictures. Knuckles got his own mini-series and with Shadow now set to appear in the third film (and being voiced by the legendary Keanu Reeves), maybe we’ll get another spin-off. There is also likely to be more merchandise shown off since Sega needs to earn that bread.

Make sure to tune into Sonic Central 2024 tomorrow, September 24, 2024. You can watch it via YouTube or Twitch.
