Despite being one of the most marketed Pokémon out there, Mewtwo has yet to become playable in the 4-on-4 multiplayer arena game Pokémon Unite. That’ll soon be changing, though, as the cloned creature will arrive this summer.

It’s not just Mewtwo, though. Two Unite licenses will be released for each of the Pokémon’s Mega Evolutions. Mega Mewtwo X will arrive first on July 21st while Mega Mewtwo Y appears from mid-August. This means you’ll likely fight as Mewtwo at the start of the fight before becoming the stronger form with experience.

As Serebii reports, a new mode will also be introduced where you’ll face off against computer-controller opponents. Scarlet & Violet’s Paldean Tauros, Bellibolt, and Flamigo will make their debut as wild Pokémon in this mode.

Pokémon Unite is available to download for free via the Nintendo Switch eShop and mobile devices now.

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
