It’s that time again, where Tetris 99 reminds Nintendo Switch Online subscribers that it exists. Despite the slower cadence of events, the puzzle royale remains a great extra for the service and a unique multiplayer offering in its own right. Marking the game’s 32nd Maximus Cup is one of our favorites of 2023, Fire Emblem Engage!
As per usual, during the event period players will earn points for each match. Upon reaching 100 of those, they’ll unlock the otherwise limited time FE Engage theme for themselves to use as they like. How else would you be able to line up blocks atop Emblem Marth’s kind visage? Earn Sommie faces with each KO as Engage’s soundtrack plays?
We also have confirmation that it’ll be easier to unlock than ever with those placing between 2nd and 90th place getting more points than before.
You can make these Alear framed dreams a reality once the Tetris 99 Fire Emblem Engage Maximus Cup begins on March 24th, running through the whole weekend before wrapping on March 27th.
