The Nintendo Switch has been around for over five and a half years at this point — the number of patches it’s received is rapidly approaching a Locke’s Socks situation (Locke’s Switch?). But not all such updates are titanic — as is the case with the Version 15.0.0 firmware update that dropped last night, which officially contains only three patch notes:
- The location of Bluetooth Audio in System Settings has changed
- You can capture screenshots (but not video) in the Nintendo Switch Online menu
- General stability improvements
Given the lack of detail, one would assume that the update is primarily focused on ironing out bugs and the like. Dataminer OatmealDome has found a couple additional details worth pointing out: mostly regional touches and the noteworthy detail that Pro Controller firmware was also updated.

– Bad words for Mainland China were updated.
– The time zone database (zoneinfo) was updated to the latest from ICANN.

Not the most thrilling update in the world, but hey, if it makes playing games smoother, who’s to complain? You can download it now.
