We previously learned that Tetris 99 would be hard dropping in a theme tied to Pokémon Legends: Arceus. The game’s 28th Maximus Cup will be built around the sights and sounds of the Hisui region, and a new video is here to preview them.
The background is the game’s box art, with Mt. Coronet proudly in “frame”. The music gives us a chill overworld exploration song before escalating to battle themes as the puzzle rages on.
Ths Pokémon Legends: Arceus theme will come to Tetris 99 starting Thursday, January 20th, at 11 p.m. PT. Anyone who earns 100 points on this Maximus Cup before it ends at the same time on Monday the 24th will have that theme for keeps.
