It’s the infinite freedom for creativity that keeps Minecraft’s enormous community thriving, but it’s hard to say if developer Mojang ever envisioned players accomplishing something quite like this. In what may be the cutest yet most horrifying video you’ll see today, one Minecraft user harnesses the power of 100 axolotls to destroy the Ender Dragon and beat the game for him.
That’s right: It’s an army of those adorable, always-smiling and infinitely happy cuties from the sea, otherwise known as the “walking fish” — the creature that inspired the mighty Pokémon Mudkip, no less. YouTube user GrayStillPlays is no stranger to setting himself bizarre challenges within Minecraft, though this time he’s either gone too far, or he’s finally discovered just what the game was made for. You decide:
Gray sets the game to spawn a new axolotl every 30 seconds, each one leveling up and gaining monstrous abilities until their power can no longer be controlled. Throughout the video, Gray’s amphibious army tears its way through villagers, animals, golems, skeletons, and anything else that dares breathe the same air as our new salamander overlords. There’s just no stopping them as they eviscerate everything in their path, shoot flurries of arrows, and voluntarily bathe in lava. Needless to say, the Ender Dragon never stood a chance.
