Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition may have a release date now, but that’s not stopping the series’ creator. After that announcement, Bryan Lee O’Malley has stated he’s “working on getting” a physical version of the game made as well.
game comes out january 14 now. Working on getting a physical release but if it happens it’ll be after digital

Ubisoft is not a person, it’s an abstract corporate entity that we project feelings onto. Real people are the ones doing the coding and behind the scenes work to make the rerelease happen. They deserve your thanks and love. Thank you guys

Part of why this return is a big deal is that the original PS3 and Xbox 360 releases are lost media for anyone who didn’t already purchase them. Previously delisted, likely due to licensing issues related to the theatrical movie from Universal, any sort of physical release would keep that from happening again.
O’Malley has long advocated for the game’s return, with other supporting voices including the film’s director Edgar Wright, the game’s composers Anamanaguchi, and other artists and developers tied to the game’s creation. While we’re thankful (and excited) for this tenth-anniversary digital return, we’d love a physical version of this fantastic beat em up as well.
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition will release for Switch and other platforms on January 14th, 2021.
