If you’re burnt out on ring-based battle systems and want to get back to some old fashion falling block puzzles, Tetris 99 has got you covered. The competitive online game is about to hold its 15th Maximus Cup event, and with it comes a brand new theme based on the flat versus folded fun of Paper Mario: The Origami King.
The theme, viewable above, features characters, visual cues, and music from Mario’s latest crafty quest. As always, anyone who plays enough can earn the theme to keep alongside the rest of the now impressive collection of Nintendo styles Tetris 99 has. The Paper Mario: The Origami King Maximus Cup event will begin this Friday, July 31st, and run through August 3rd.
