Another game is making its Super Smash Bros. Ultimate debut via the Spirit Board, and it’s one Switch RPG fans should be very familiar with. As revealed by a notification within Ultimate itself, Octopath Traveler, the Square Enix developed throwback to SNES era RPGs, is getting a dedicated event this weekend.
The featured image brings together eight Smash characters (well, seven and an Assist Trophy) to mimic the eight protagonists of Octopath. Four spirits will be added, grouping the cast into pairs:
- Olberic and Primrose
- Tressa and Cyrus
- Alfyn and Therion
- H’aanit and Ophilia
The Spirit Event will start July 10th, and will reportedly run through July 15th. Make sure to grab the whole group once it’s live, and if you haven’t already check out Octopath Traveler for yourself.
