Whether the announcement of Byleth as the fifth and final playable fighter from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s Fighter Pass during Masahiro Sakurai’s presentation yesterday left you feeling overjoyed or dismayed, I think most Smash fans can agree that reception to the announcement of Cuphead’s presence in Smash was overwhelmingly positive. In addition to a widespread positive reaction from the Smash community, Cuphead’s developers, Studio MDHR, have also shared their thanks to Sakurai and Nintendo for the opportunity to have one of indie gaming’s rising stars make an appearance in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
A brawl is surely brewing! Cuphead is joining Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a downloadable Mii Gunner Costume!! Available for purchase on 1/28, including the music track Floral Fury.
