Just ahead of the Nintendo Switch event earlier this month we got confirmation that Travellers Tales would be bringing its 2013 Wii U exclusive LEGO City Undercover to the new system. Now in a recent tweet from the studio’s head of design, Arthur Parsons, we have learned that they are also planning to port LEGO Worlds to Switch as well.

LEGO Worlds is a building game in the vein of Minecraft and Dragon Quest Builders, where you naturally use various LEGO blocks to build models in a procedurally generated world. It has been available via Steam Early Access since mid-2015, but it will be seeing a physical release later next month on consoles.

We’ll just have to wait and see when it launches on Switch, but given that we already have confirmation of Minecraft on the system it’s looking to be a very busy year for builders on the go.

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
