Matthew is a writer, researcher and gaming enthusiast currently living in Queens, New York.

Trained by his father in the arts of the NES controller at the age of three, Matthew’s developed a deep and rich history with Nintendo throughout his life. He’s always felt a strong connection to his SNES and the wealth of genre defining experiences it provided him as a child. These days he’s been especially enamored by the indie development scene, particularly its ability to expand upon the medium while drawing inspiration from gaming’s more retro roots.

When he’s not slaying Moblins and Octoroks, you can find him (poorly) shredding on the guitar, taking his dogs on adventurous hikes, or wandering Nintendo NY wishing he could rescue every last Poké plush from captivity.
