It seems the internet just can’t let go of the idea that a new Star Fox game is coming. After claiming that Nintendo was working on a new entry for its long-absent space flight sim series, notable leaker Natethehate has clarified what he meant about Nintendo revealing a new Star Fox game soon.
Responding to questions from fans on Twitter, Natethehate directly wrote, “I said StarFox will be announced this month via Nintendo Today or Twitter.” As you can guess, that has sent the internet abuzz with speculation about when Nintendo will be making the reveal. I’m still not completely sold on the idea, but then Fox’s inclusion in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie does make it more plausible than it otherwise would have been.
In other Nintendo related news, fans asked Nate if a new Partner Direct would be happening, potentially hinting that maybe Star Fox was given to an indie dev for consideration. Nate said, “I have nothing to share,” meaning it’s really up in the air. That’s not a confirmation or denial, though leaks about Partner showcases tend to be kept to a minimum.
