In the wake of the success of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Nintendo is launching a new deal for the Switch 2 to try and entice gamers to upgrade. At participating retailers between April 12th and May 9th, 2026, you can save $20 on the new console when you buy it along with a copy of Super Mario Galaxy 1+2. Honestly, that’s not the greatest deal around, but I guess it is cheaper than buying both items separately.

The deal is not limited to the physical version of the Galaxy compilation as shoppers can grab an eShop code and still save $20. I’m not sure which item gets the price reduction, but that probably doesn’t matter. All in on both would bring your total to $520, so this is pretty similar to grabbing the Mario Kart World bundle. Thing is, you’ll need to download the Nintendo Switch 2 patch to make the most of Super Mario Galaxy 1+2 on your new console.

On Nintendo’s website, it lists GameStop, Amazon, Target, Best Buy, and Walmart as partnered stores, though I’m sure there are some other retailers offering the deal. You can find out more on the official website, which lists other deals going on at the same time (such as that 40th Anniversary steelbook game case).
