The rather solid PS2-era throwback action game Kena: Bridge of Spirits will be heading to Nintendo Switch 2 on March 26th, 2026. In a new trailer today, publisher Ember Lab revealed the news and noted that pre-orders will be available later today. We also got some footage of the game running on Nintendo’s platform, showcasing that it does, in fact, utilize DLSS for upscaling purposes. It looks a bit fuzzy though.

This belated port to Nintendo’s ecosystem will include the “Anniversary” DLC for the game, which included a few extra costumes released after the first year. It will also launch with New Game Plus mode, allowing you to tackle the game on a harder difficulty with all skills unlocked. That definitely helps for the game’s harder setting, which can be a real pain in the ass.

Having played the original on PlayStation 5 five years ago, I found Kena: Bridge of Spirits to be a remarkably polished experience with a fantastic visual design. It truly does feel like a lost PS2 title that would have slotted in nicely between Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, or Sly Cooper. The upcoming sequel, Kena: Scars of Kosmora, looks to be going for a more open-world thing, but this first outing is a linear action platformer like we don’t really get anymore.
