Mario Day, aka March 10, is nearly upon us, and Nintendo is pulling out… well, not all the stops, but a couple of them, to celebrate it. In anticipation of the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Nintendo is partnering up with Dippin Dots to release the new “galaxy pop” mystery flavor for customers to try. Available starting today, I’m not exactly sure what is so mysterious about this flavor other than galaxy being fairly indescribable.
Mario Galaxy x Dippin’ Dots collab
Speaking to GameSpot, Dippin Dots’ VP of marketing, Kimmra Hingher, said, “We wanted this to feel playful and a little unexpected. The mystery behind Galaxy Pop, along with the collectibles, gives fans something new to discover, whether they’re stopping by a Dippin’ Dots location for Mario Day or heading to theaters for the new The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.” As such, the new flavor will be available at 120 participating locations, including standalone stores and shopping mall stands, until April 30th, 2026.

Mario Galaxy x Icee collab
In another bit of brand synergy, sister company Icee will be rolling out its own Mario-themed flavors at movie theaters. Available as “Star Power Cherry” and “Peach Freeze,” theater goers will be able to buy this to eat while watching the new Galaxy movie on April 1, 2026. It’s unclear if these flavors are already available, but they’re clearly meant to coincide with the film’s release in a few weeks.
Mario Galaxy x Pillsbury collab
If you’d rather have treats that aren’t frozen, Pillsbury has got you covered with some ready to bake cookie sheets. We’ve reported on how a leaked image of the Yoshi cookie collab actually spoiled the design of Mario’s dinosaur pal for the movie, but those eggs are currently floating around store shelves. Everyone loves a nice bit of cookie dough, so why not grab a box to try them out?

Mario Galaxy x bubly collab
There’s also a collaboration going on with bubly, the barely flavored seltzer water that sounds like someone shouting the flavor three rooms over as you drink it. In the wild, we’ve spotted “Meteor Melon” and “Cosmic Swirl,” though there might be other flavors available. They come in eight packs, so you’ll have to really dig bubly to get your money’s worth. I could also shout “Meteor Melon” from my room, and you might get the same effect.

If we spot any other collaborations in the coming days, we’ll keep you updated on them.
