It’s been roughly a year since we’ve last seen footage of The Duskbloods, FromSoftware’s upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 multiplayer exclusive that takes some heavy inspiration from Bloodborne. Revealed as releasing in 2026, the delay of Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition on Switch 2 has cast doubt on whether FromSoftware will be able to deliver two games for Nintendo’s platform. As far as parent company Kadokawa is concerned, though, there is every intention to release both of those games for Nintendo faithful in 2026.
As part of Kadokawa’s latest earnings report, the company stated that it will be releasing The Duskbloods and Elden Ring on Switch 2 this year. “FromSoftware currently has multiple titles in the development pipeline, including Elden Ring Tarnished Edition and The Duskbloods (both slated for a 2026 release for Nintendo Switch 2),” reads the document. No specific release dates have been given, but the company is standing firm with this declaration.

“At this point, we have yet to announce a specific release date,” reads one of the Q&A responses. “It [The Duskbloods] will be sold on a joint basis with Nintendo Co., Ltd., with sales responsibilities divided by region. The title will only be available for the Nintendo Switch 2.” That’s maybe not reassuring for a quick turnaround, but I could see the game becoming a holiday title for FromSoftware.
