In a very brief “Grasshopper Direct” video posted yesterday, Grasshopper Manufacture CEO/founder Suda51 assured fans that a second game from the company would be coming in 2026. Having just released Romeo is a Dead Man on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, the company isn’t looking to slow down yet. “It’s almost 100% certain that we’ll be releasing one more game during 2026,” Suda said.

Details are mum on what that game is, but Suda promises there is something else in store for the very near future. “Keep checking out various events, media, and videos like this,” he states, “and sooner or later we’ll have that big announcement ready for you all. Please keep an eye out and look forward to it.” That’s exciting.

Even more exciting is when Suda reiterates that Romeo is a Dead Man will be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 at some point. While not initially announced for the console as Nintendo hadn’t unveiled the device last year, Grasshopper Manufacture has been working on porting the game since getting development kits. “We’re doing what we can to make it happen, so again, please give us a little more time,” Suda says in the video.

The video then ends with a tribute to the late Tatsushi Fujita, an artist who worked with Suda for nearly 20 years. Credited on games dating as far back as 2005’s Killer7, He passed away last year during the development of both Romeo is a Dead Man and the upcoming untitled GhM title. “Thank you, Fujita. You can finally rest now,” Suda said. These two games are dedicated to his memory.
