Tucked into a sizzle reel of multiple titles in today’s Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase was something I’ve been waiting a long time for. Tales of Arise, the latest entry in the Tales of RPG series, is finally making its way to a Nintendo console this spring.

Originally released in 2021, Arise streamlined a lot of what makes a Tales game and upped the presentation. I thoroughly enjoyed playing through it at the time, with its battle system and characters being its most memorable elements.

What’s included with the Tales of Arise – Beyond the Dawn Edition for Switch 2?

The “Beyond the Dawn” tag in the title refers to Arise’s post-launch DLC storyline, which will be included by default for Nintendo Switch 2 players along with other add-ons, including costumes and more. A Premium Edition will add more cosmetics and items to players’ inventories.

Tales of Arise – Beyond the Dawn Edition release date

It’s worth noting that unlike other Tales of releases, such as the fast approaching Tales of Berseria, Arise is not a “Remaster” title and will likely be the same experience fans on PlayStation and other platforms have had for years now. Still, even as a port, it’s a welcome addition to the Switch 2’s library set to launch on May 22nd.
