Update (2/24/26): The Super Mario Galaxy plushes are now up for pre-order at Play-Asia! You can get the Bee Mario and Boo Mario for $18.99 each. And remember, use the code NWIRE2025 on orders over $20 to save 5%.

In the never-ending quest to create a plush for every permutation of Mario, Sanei has announced that Boo and Bee Mario plushes will be coming to Japanese stores this May. Fashioned after two of the Power-Ups featured in Super Mario Galaxy, I’m betting these plushes are being made to coincide with the release of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. I wouldn’t put money on them appearing in the film, but Nintendo will obviously link back to the Mario Galaxy collection released on Switch, and kids will want a plush to hug.

Pre-orders for the plushes will begin in mid-April, though no prices are mentioned. Both are around the same size, with Bee Mario measuring 18.5 cm (or roughly 7 inches), and Boo Mario measuring 17 cm (about 6.5 inches). Both will be nice little companions to place on your desk or shelf. Interestingly, similar plushes existed back in 2007 when Super Mario Galaxy first released on the Wii. They featured Mario, Fire Mario, Boo Mario, and Bee Mario, though the designs are slightly different from the new plushes coming. They were also smaller in size, though that’s perfectly fine.

As for me, I want to know why there aren’t Luigi variants. I have a collection of Mario plushes that my sister has echoed with Luigi versions. We collect them together, and I’m still waiting on an official elephant Luigi plush. Where is it, Nintendo? Why are you doing this to me?!
